The exotic banana flower is used extensively in South Indian and South east Asian cuisine. It evokes memories from my childhood when we used to peel the flower and separate the edible portion of the flowerets. It is full of nutrients. Banana plant is one in which all the parts, the fruits, stem, flower and the leaves are useful. I painted it more for its vibrant colours! watercolour on hand made paper 10 x 14 “.
