One of the most picturesque hangars that i have seen is the ALH flight hangar at HAL Bangalore, especially at night. i have been wanting to paint this for a long time, and a recent night flying sortie just motivated me to complete this study in watercolours. Elks in Velvet

When i saw a photograph captured by Somesh Nagthan of the Elks at Yellowstone, i knew i would paint it some day. Yesterday after half an hour of sifting through my computer i found it. What a breathtaking scene, the elks are cautious and alert, their look tells it all. During spring the new antlers that are growing on the elks are covered 'in velvet'.
